In 1974 Seillé took up residence in England working as an assistant French teacher. In 1976 she enrolled on a Fine Art course with the intention of becoming a teacher. After two preparatory years at Stafford College of Further Education she was accepted at Wolverhampton Polytechnic and graduated in 1981. After graduating she decided to suspend activities in the domain of art education, and instead gave private French tuition which enabled her to continue her artistic activities.
